The Design Showcase will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the DCC Great Hall. Students from multiple engineering disciplines (Computer & Systems, Electrical, Industrial & Management, Materials and Mechanical Engineering) solve real-world design challenges for industry, entrepreneurs and academic/medical partners. Justin Weinstein '19
Presentation Title: "We Shape What's Essential!" An overview of GlobalFoundries and our critical role in the everyday world. Presentation will start at 2:00 p.m. in DCC 324
Justin Weinstein is a Member of the Technical Staff in the Advanced Module Engineering Department at GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY. Upon graduating from RPI in 2019 with a bachelor's in Materials Engineering, he joined GlobalFoundries full-time after completing two prior internships with GlobalFoundries. Justin’s primary focus is surrounding support equipment used in the semiconductor manufacturing process such as vacuum pumps, temperature control systems, and gas abatement/recycling. Justin has been the lead inventor for five U.S. patents and numerous trade secrets. In 2024, Justin was also recognized as one of the recipients of the SEMI 20 Under 30 award for the North America region.
